Acne

people with acneMost everyone believes that acne is a skin problem for teenagers. But acne affects everyone, adults, teenagers and even babies.  Acne occurs when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. Acne most often appears on your face, neck, chest, back and shoulders. Acne can be distressing and in some cases cause emotional distress and lead to acne scars. Mild acne cases can be managed with over the counter medications.  However, if your acne is getting worse, you are getting upset or depressed about your skin you should see a City of Angels Dermatology board-certified dermatologist.  The dermatologist will be able to diagnose your condition and recommend acne medications, acne skin care products, skin care regimens and acne treatments that will get rid of acne and lower your risk of recurring acne breakouts.
